On Focus: Cloud Computing

As you may know, cloud computing has been on a rise and everyone talks about it. It's the new hype. Cloud computing can be used as a tool for everydaylife, business, studying, teaching, marketing and the list goes on.

I had the opportunity to learn about Google and its cloud services in a groupwork for Management of Databases course. I teamed up with another enthusiasts on my class and put together a presentation about Googles services in marketing (more of a business point of view). Once we started to investigate the services Google can offer, the flood of information couldn't be stopped. I can say that we experienced some consultant anxiety (konsulttiahdistusta). We made some decisions and we decided to focus on the most relevant services for businesses. For example Google+, Analytics, Google Search Control, AdMob, AdSense, Apps for Work, Youtube, AdWords. On november we had the presentation about our subject. We're adjusted to give presentations for our own class but this time the event was little different. We presented our segments to the energy and environmental technology students who had their first chance to familiarize themselves with information systems, databases, and cloud services. The whole event was a success and we learned a lot of cloud computing and its services.
